We are looking for adults with smiling, friendly faces to meet and greet the visitors and patients at the information desk. Other duties for this volunteer position include giving directions to all areas of the hospital, and transferring telephone calls that come in to the information desk. An interview is required for access to this ongoing job, and basic computer skills are needed. Shifts usually run 3-4 hours each, one time per week. Hours are from 7 am - 7 pm. At Memorial we want to make each patient experience exceptional, so the ability to interact with patients in a smiling and friendly manner is a must for this position. To begin the volunteering process at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, you will need to attend two Orientation Sessions. The next available Orientations are: Session I Orientation scheduled August 30 from 12 – 2 OR 6-8 pm in the Hospital Auditorium. Session II is scheduled for September 1 from 12:30 – 2:30 OR 6-8 pm in the Hospital Auditorium.
